Diaz, Mack, And Satterley Named To Preseason All-Conference Team

HARTSVILLE, SC. - Seniors Aaron Diaz, Jaylen Mack, and Tyler Satterly were all named to the SAC All-Conference preseason 2nd team Tuesday morning as announced by the conference office. The Cobras were also picked to finish fourth in the preaseaon poll, while receiving one first place vote. Coker begins the season January 31st when they host Belmont Abbey. 

Tyler Satterley - Satterly appeared in 19 games last season for the Cobras, with all of them coming out of the bullpen. The senior from Myrtle Beach, SC, threw 34.0 innings a season ago, striking out 22 batters, and pitching at a 1.68 WHIP. He recorded 5 saves in his junior campaign, with a 2.65ERA. Tyler's best performance came on March 8th against Newberry where he threw 4.0 innings and allowed no earned runs.  

Aaron Diaz - Diaz returns to the Cobras after receiving 2nd team all-conference honors a year ago. Over the course of the 2024 season, Diaz threw 78.2 innings in 14 outings. Aaron started in all 14 games for Coker, and posted a 6-4 record. He struck out a career high 39 batters, and pitched at a 4.12 ERA. His longest outing in 2024 came on April 26th when Aaron pitched 8.0 innings against Carson-Newman in a 8-5 win. This season will be Diaz' third season with Coker. He has pitched 128.1 career inniings, and struck out 79 batters. 

Jaylen Mack - Mack batted .287 last season, while serving as a mainstay behind the plate for Coker. He added a team high 4 homeruns, 38 RBI, 32 Runs, and 19 stolen bases in 2024. Mack threw out 16 runners behind the dish, and posted a .995 fielding percentage for Coker. His 41 hits was a career high at Coker, while also recording highs in SLG, OBP, and AB. The senior appeared in 46 games a season ago, and started in 38 of them. 

Coker was picked fourth in this years preseason poll, after finishing 2nd in the regular season a season ago. The Cobras return 35 players from last year, and begin their season at home on January 31st at 4 p.m. agaisnt Belmont Abbey.
