Klaserner and Lybrand Earn All-Conference Honors

FULL SOUTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE RELEASE

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Coker University baseball team had two players receive South Atlantic Conference awards, the conference announced Tuesday (Apr. 21).

Drew Klaserner was selected to the All-Conference Honorable Mention Team at designated hitter, while infielder Lake Lybrand earned All-Defensive Team honors at second base. 

Klaserner, the transfer from Sinclair Community College, had an impressive first season with the Cobras, hitting .360, with 32 hits, 25 RBI, and 18 runs scored over 27 games played for Coker. 

This is Klaserner's first career All-Conference honor. The Cincinnati, Ohio native is the son of John and Lorrie Klaserner, and is currently undecided on a major. 

Lybrand earned All-Defensive honors with an eye-catching 1.000 fielding percentage and helping turn 10 double plays. This is Lybrand's second career All-Defensive Team honor. The Lexington, S.C. native is the son of Dargan and Kim Lybrand, and is a College Athletic Administration major. 

The Cobras travel to Kodak, Tenn. on Thursday (Apr. 22) where they'll take on Lenoir-Rhyne in the South Atlantic Conference tournament. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
