Baseball Drops Doubleheader to Regionally-Ranked Carson-Newman
Hartsville, S.C.- The Coker University baseball team dropped its South Atlantic Conference doubleheader to Carson-Newman today (Saturday, April 17) by scores of 3-1 in eight innings and 10-4 in game two.

Game One
Coker would strike in the first from Drew Klaserner's single to left that plated Cam Murray to put Coker up 1-0.
The Cobra defense would hold Carson-Newman scoreless until the fourth, when the Eagles would tie it up at 1-1.
Neither team would score again until the eighth, when Carson-Newman would score two, taking game one 3-1.

Game Two
Coker would jump out ahead in the second from Jackson Williams' double down the right field line, scoring Drew Klaserner to put the Cobras up 1-0.
Coker would score two in the third. First, when Lake Lybrand would score off a failed Carson-Newman pickoff attempt. Murray would score from Klaserner's double to right field.
The Eagles offence would surge in the fourth, sending two home runs over the right center wall, taking the 4-3 lead.
Carson-Newman would plate two in the sixth and then three in the seventh to put the Eagles up 10-3
Murray would send a solo bomb over the left center wall to bring the final game score to 10-4.
