Coker Baseball Falls to Anderson in Home Finale

HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- The Coker College baseball team fell to Anderson 7-6 in their final home game of the regular season on Sunday (Apr. 14).

Seven different Cobras notched hits on the afternoon, and Reilly Hall led the way with two RBI.

Jonathan Ford was the star of the game, pitching four scoreless innings of relief while allowing just two hits, and striking out three batters.

The Cobras battled back from an early deficit to take a 6-4 lead into the top of the ninth inning, but a pair of clutch home runs by the Trojans proved the difference.

Coker will be back in action on Tuesday (Apr. 16) when they travel to Augusta in a non-conference matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
