HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- The Coker College baseball team fell to the Catawba Indians 13-12 in the opening game of their weekend South Atlantic Conference series on Friday (Mar. 22).
Grant Thompson led the way offensively with three hits, going 3-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Lake Lybrand, Chase Bruno, Larry McCabe, and Casey Demko added two hits apiece for the Cobras. Demko finished 2-3 with two walks, knocking in two RBI, and scoring twice in his first game back from an injury he suffered against Queens on March 2nd.
The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 23) for a doubleheader to conclude their three-game series with Catawba. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
