HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- The Coker College baseball team dropped a pair of home games to Newberry in South Atlantic Conference action on Saturday (Mar. 9)
Game One
Lake Lybrand led the way with three hits while Reilly Hall and RJ Ball added two hits apiece. Nathan Landreth pitched five strong innings for the Cobras, leaving with a 5-1 lead in the sixth inning.
Game Two
Larry McCabe drilled his team-leading fourth home run of the season in the second inning, and Gavin Matthews added a hit for the Cobras in the bottom of the fifth.
Coker will be back in action on Wednesday (Mar. 13) when they travel to face Belmont Abbey in a non-conference road contest. First pitched is scheduled for 4 p.m.
