HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College baseball team fell to Belmont Abbey 17-13 in extra innings on Tuesday (Feb. 12).
Grant Thompson tied the single-game hits record, notching five hits in seven at bats. Thompson's final line was 5-7, two runs, and three RBI, running his hitting streak to 10 games. Larry McCabe and Reilly Hall collected three hits apiece, and KJ Curry finished 2-6 with two runs, a stolen base, and three RBI for the Cobras.
Coker will be back in action on Saturday (Feb. 16) and Sunday (Feb. 17) when they host Alderson Broaddus for a four-game series featuring a pair of doubleheaders. Game times are set for 12 pm and 3 pm at Tom J. New Field at Dave Schmotzer Stadium.
