INDIANAPOLIS - The quick-rising collegiate sport of acrobatics and tumbling received backing from the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Committee on Women's Athletics to join the organization's list of emerging sports, announced by the organization today (Monday, June 3).

The sport was recognized along with collegiate women's wrestling.
