Ron Apke helped Coker to seven wins in his first season on staff in 2019-20, including six wins in South Atlantic Conference play. In addition, men's basketball landed three players on the 2019-20 South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll and also put together a 3.37 team GPA. Men's Basketball also finished No. 6 in all of Division II in community service hours.
Apke joined the Coker University men's basketball staff as an assistant coach in 2019.
Apke had previously coached at Calerain High School where he was the head junior varsity coach for one year. Before Colerain, he was the freshman boys basketball head coach and an assistant coach on the varsity staff at Withrow High School.
Apke was a four-year student manager at the University of Cincinnati under Mick Cronin. He was also a member of the 2014-15 Woodrow Wilson Teaching Cohort.
A 2014 graduate of Cincinnati, Apke holds a Bachelor's of Science in chemistry.
