Kevin Martin enters his first season as Associate Head Coach for the Coker University men's soccer program.

A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, Martin came to Coker after serving four years as an assistant at Francis Marion University. In his four seasons with FMU, the Patriots appeared in three conference tournament finals and won the Conference Carolinas’ Regular Season Championship, two East Division titles, and one conference tournament, as well as participating in the NCAA Division II National Tournament in 2024. Martin also received the school's award for Assistant Coach of the Year in 2024.

Prior to FMU, Martin spent one season as an assistant at Brevard College, winning the school's first USA South Conference Tournament. 

Other past coaching appointments include Wayne Country Day School in Goldsboro, N.C., where he helped the Chargers win their first state championship, and with Wayne County United Soccer Club, which finished as state runners-up. In Scotland, Martin coached at SPFL sides Livingston Football Club and Berwick Rangers Football Club, as well as the University of Edinburgh Association Football Club.

Martin has also worked as a senior opposition analyst with Velez Club de Futbol in Spain’s Segunda RFEF and as Head Set-Play Analyst with Utsiktens BK in the Swedish Superettan.

He earned an undergraduate degree (in sport, exercise, and coaching) at the Open University in Scotland, a Diploma of Sports and Exercise Science from Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland, and holds a UEFA A License.
