The Cobras won eight games in the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season, including two in South Atlantic Conference play. 23 baseball players were named to the 2019-20 South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. In addition, the baseball team posted a 3.48 GPA for the year and also ranked No. 3 in all of Division II in community service hours.
James Tennenbaum joined the Coker University baseball staff in January of 2020.
Tennenbaum comes to Coker from his alma mater Otterbein University, where he was an Assistant Coach for the 2018 season. He also holds a position working for Prep Baseball Report out of Ohio. During 2017-18, he was the 14U coach for the New Albany Eagles out of New Albany Ohio.
Tennenbaum was also a four-year member of the baseball team at Otterbein.
The Columbus, Ohio native holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management from Otterbein, graduating in 2019.
