Helfrich worked with the men's and women's track and field teams which set a combined 12 school records before the season was shortened due to COVID-19 in 2019-20.
Jackson Helfrich joined the Coker University Track and Field staff in January of 2020.
Helfrich comes to Coker after a stellar running career at Reinhardt University in Waleska, Ga. While at Reinhardt, he was the 2018 individual conference champion in cross country and also the Runner of the Year in the Southeast region. He was also the first runner from Reinhardt in the last 10 years to qualify for the national meet. He was also a two-time Academic All-American during his running career.
A native of Auburn, Ga., Helfrich graduated from Reinhardt with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Studies with a focus in Sport Administration and a minor in Business Administration in Decmeber 2019. He is currently pursuing his Master's of Science in College Athletic Administration at Coker.
