Chloe McCoy joined the Coker College Sports Medicine staff as an athletic trainer in the fall of 2015.

Before coming to Coker, McCoy was employed by King University from August 2012 to July 2015. When joining the staff, she was able to become a preceptor to athletic training program students. McCoy was also an adjunct professor in the upper level athletic training classes. In June 2014, she received a promotion from Assistant Athletic Trainer to Associate Athletic Trainer.

While at Furman University for the 2010-11 academic year, McCoy was responsible for the coverage of Division I women’s volleyball and softball teams. She assisted in the daily operations of the FU Sports Medicine Center where she expanded her rehabilitation knowledge. She also had the opportunity to do a rotation with the team physicians at Piedmont Orthopedics Associates.

McCoy has assisted with coverage of the SAC Softball Tournament twice (2016-17) and Women’s Wrestling National Tournament while with King in 2013.

She has twice implemented an ACL jump prevention program, with women’s volleyball at Coker in 2016 and women’s basketball in 2013 at King.

McCoy is a graduate of East Carolina University, where she was a dual graduate with a BS in Athletic Training and MS in Education. While pursuing her master’s degree, McCoy had the opportunity to teach and assist within the Health and Human Performance College at ECU. She taught general education health requirement classes, as well as sophomore-level curriculum labs within the athletic training program.

McCoy is the contact for women’s volleyball, men’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s golf, and the Spirit Squad.
