Coker University

Adrienne Singletary began as Coker University’s new Director of Event Management and Fan Engagement on Aug. 29, 2022. She added the title of Athletics Diversity & Inclusion Designee on Sept. 23, 2022. 

Singletary comes to Coker from Sumter, South Carolina where she has worked with the City of Sumter Recreation Department since 2016. In her most recent role as Recreation Complex Coordinator, she oversaw operations for the city facilities the Palmetto Tennis Center and the City of Sumter Aquatics Center.   Before taking over operations for the entire recreation department, she served as a Tennis Center Attendant and then as Complex Coordinator at the Palmetto Tennis Center.  Before her involvement with the City of Sumter, she worked at the American Cancer Society and the South Carolina Department of Social Services.

 In 2020, Singletary was named one of the Top 20 Under-40 professionals in Sumter, Lee, and Clarendon counties. 

Singletary was a member of the Division I women’s track and field team at USC Upstate, including the inaugural team in 2007. 

She holds a Master of Science in Sport Management from Liberty University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from USC Upstate.
