David Mack is joining the Media Relations Department at Coker University. Mack is a highly experienced public address announcer, coach, and general athletics staff member. He has worked in various roles at different institutions, showcasing his skills in sports management and communication.

Starting in 2017, David began his career as a public address announcer for Akron Public Schools at Ellet High School. Initially a volunteer, he announced high school boys' soccer games during his junior and senior years of high school. Following his graduation, David was hired to announce high school football, girls' soccer, boys' soccer, and boys and girls basketball. Additionally, during spring seasons, he assists in coaching the tennis team.

David's success as an announcer includes winning the 2020 Greater Akron Area "Golden Megaphone" award for the area's best athletics announcer, becoming the youngest recipient in history. He also announced high school basketball games featuring top-ranked players, including NBA prospect Chris Livingston.

In 2019-2020, David served as a tennis coach at Canton Central Catholic High School. He coached the JV team and assisted with the varsity team, helping three girls reach a district tournament bid.

Since 2020, David has been working at Ohio Christian University as a public address announcer, media communications personnel, and general athletics staff member. He announces various sports, including volleyball, soccer, basketball, track and field, baseball, and softball. In addition to announcing, David takes on miscellaneous tasks, such as event set-up and tear-down, running errands, and meeting with faculty. He also ran the Instagram accounts for the men's and women's tennis teams, creating game day graphics and recording highlights. Furthermore, David has written articles for the athletic department's website.

At Ohio Christian University, David has announced major events like the RSC Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships and the Ohio Christian Schools Athletic Association (OCSAA) State Championships. He has also worked on hosting regular season games for New Hope Christian Academy and assisting with the planning and execution of the Ross County Christian Academy (RCCA) Christmas Showcase.

Since 2022, David has been interning with the Akron RubberDucks, the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. He started as a Video Board Assistant and eventually became the Replay Director. He gained experience in camera work, directing live streams, taking stats, and editing replays for social media. David also worked the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Baseball State Tournament, showcasing his skills in video editing.

Currently, David is working at Circleville City School District as a game manager, general athletics staff member, public address announcer, and tennis coach. He leads a team of individuals to ensure smooth game day operations and has taken on responsibilities such as digitizing the athletic hall of fame and records. David has also coached two first-year boys tennis players to the school's first district tournament berth in doubles in 14 years.

David Mack holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport/Business Management from Ohio Christian University, where he was a senior member of the athletic department staff and a collegiate athlete in men's tennis.
