Coker Baseball Earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award
Hartsville, SC- Coker baseball was one of the many programs recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association for their academic excellence during the 2023-24 academic year. The Cobras, coached by coach Fico Kondla, posted a GPA of 3.35, meeting the criteria for the prestigious award.
The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award is presented by Sports Attack and honors both college and high school programs that excel in the classroom. This year, nearly 350 high school programs and over 470 collegiate programs were recognized for their academic achievements.
The ABCA has a long history of recognizing the achievements of baseball coaches and student-athletes. In addition to the Team Academic Excellence Award, the organization also presents All-America Teams, All-Region Awards, and Coach of the Year awards.
Founded in 1945, the American Baseball Coaches Association is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. With over 15,000 members representing all 50 states and 41 countries, the ABCA is crucial in promoting excellence in baseball coaching and education.
