Five Cobras Named to the Conference Carolinas Winter/Spring Academic All-Conference Teams
GREENVILLE, S.C. – An impressive close to 900 student-athletes have been named to the Conference Carolinas Winter/Spring Academic All-Conference Teams Presented by Barnes & Noble College.

The Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference teams consist of junior and senior student-athletes in the conference who have competed in a conference-sponsored sport and maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all work completed at their member institution.

The GPA is calculated based on the cumulative averages of the student-athletes through the previous semester and each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year.

The Cobras had five wrestlers make it onto this year's list. Corey Gallivan, Trey Weinel, Omar Armengol, Noah Korenoski, and Stephen Spitko we all recognize that each of these athletes had a strong regular season and performed outstandingly in the classroom. 

Up first is Corey Gallivan. Gallivan is a junior wrestler from Cutler Bay, Florida. He is majoring in Criminology and has an impressive GPA of 3.974. Gallivan competes in the 125-pound weight class. He is the son of Elizabeth and Timothy Gallivan

The Next Cobra is Trey Weinell. Weinell is a senior wrestler from New Alexandria, PA. Weinell is majoring in Physical Education with a GPA of 3.250. Weinell finished the regular season strong and comes from a family with a wrestling background, as his brother Cody wrestled at UPJ and Seton Hill. He is the son of Mike and Suzette Weinell.

Following Weinell we have Omar Armengol a senior wrestler from Hialeah, Florida, standing at 5-8 and competing in the 141-pound weight class. He is majoring in Physical Education and maintains an impressive GPA of 3.75. He is the son of Omar and Yenny Armengol.

Our Next Cobras is Noah Korenoski. Korenoski is a senior wrestler from Johnstown, PA. He is majoring in Criminology and has a GPA of 3.581. Noah competes in the 157-pound weight class. Son of Colleen and Justin Korenoski.

To wrap it up we have Stephen Spitko. Stephen Spitko is a sophomore wrestler from Douglassville, PA. He is majoring in Nursing with a GPA of 3.362. Stephen competes in the 133-pound weight class. Son of Kevin and Lesley Spitko.
