Celestin Blondel Named to the Men’s Soccer All-Southeast Region First Team
Blondel honored with First Team All-Region
Salisbury, N.C. --- The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) announced Lincoln Memorial University forward Daniel Burko as its 2023 Southeast Region Men's Soccer Player of the Year Tuesday, Nov. 28. Burko's honor highlights the D2CCA Southeast Region Men's Soccer All-Region teams. A sophomore from Løvenstad, Norway, Burko was named South Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Year after ranking second in the nation with 19 goals scored, helping lead the Railsplitters back to the NCAA Tournament with an overall record of 11-5-3. Athletic communication professionals from Division II Southeast Region schools and conferences selected the D2CCA all-region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced in December. The Division II Conference Commissioners sponsor the All-Region teams.
Celestin Blondel was selected to the first time All-Souteast Region. Blondel had made SAC All-Conference and Academic All-District Team earlier this year. The Sophmore completed the year with 5 goals 4 assist and 1 game winner as he completed the year with 14 points. Blondel started in all 17 games for the Cobras as he helped the team reach a 8-6-3 record this year.
