Coker's Griffin Named to Division II Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee

DIVISION II STUDENT-ATHLETE REINSTATEMENT COMMITTEE OVERVIEW

INDIANAPOLIS - Coker University Vice President of Athletics and Athletic Facilities Dr. Lynn Griffin has been named to the NCAA's Division II Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee, announced by the organization today Wednesday, Aug. 19).

This committee reviews and discusses issues regarding student-athlete reinstatement and takes legislative action or directs staff to make recommendations to the Management Council accordingly.

Griffin has been active within the governance structure of NCAA Division II.  She served on the NCAA Division II Management Council from 2015-2019, served on the NCAA Division II Nominating Committee, serving as the chair from 2014-16, served on the NCAA Women's Basketball Rules Committee and has also served on one NCAA championship committee, swimming and diving. In addition, she has served on the women's tennis and women's lacrosse RAC.  She is an active member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and Women's Leaders in College Sports.  Griffin also serves as an instructor in Coker's Masters of Science in College Athletic Administration program.

Her term on the committee begins Sept. 1.
