Hartsville Boy Scouts Partake in Clinic Hosted by Coker Athletic Programs

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker College athletic programs recently hosted a two-day tennis, basketball, lacrosse, and wrestling clinic that started Monday (Mar. 19) for the Hartsville Boy Scouts' Scoutreach Program.

"The clinic was a blast and just so amazing for the scouts and players alike," said head men's basketball coach Aric Samuel. "It was great to get different athletic programs involved to give the kids a look at some of the other sports that they may not be familiar with."

The players spent the afternoon teaching the different troops how to dribble, shoot, swing a tennis racket, cradle a lacrosse stick, and even learned a couple of wrestling moves.

"Our coaches and players did a great job with the kids," stated Samuel. "The goal is to host another clinic next week for the scouts with other athletic programs here at Coker."
