HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker men's cross country runner Jacob Chebii has been selected as the Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Month for October 2015.

Chebii won the Francis Marion Invitational with a time of 16:02, shattering the previous Coker 5k record by 15 seconds. Chebii also broke the Coker 8k record at the Royals Challenge when he posted a time of 25:46. He placed 14th overall at the SAC Championship and was named the SAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of Oct. 12-18.
