Bell Added as Assistant Track & Field/Cross Country Coach

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College has named Daniel Bell as its assistant track & field/cross country coach, Dr. Lynn Griffin, vice president of athletics and athletics facilities, announced today.

Before arriving at Coker, Bell was the sprints and hurdles graduate assistant coach at the University of the Cumberlands. Prior to coaching at the collegiate level, Bell assisted Ishpeming High School, earning multiple MHSAA UP Division II state championships.

"I couldn't be more excited to have Coach Bell join our coaching staff," said Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach Tom Scott. "He is a very passionate and dedicated coach, and has an excellent track IQ. Coach Bell is going to do an amazing job and will work tirelessly to do anything that he can to help our team, both on and off the track."

 Bell graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in Entrepreneurship. While there, he created the club cross country team, where multiple athletes were recruited from NCAA and NAIA schools. Bell ran for Lake Superior State University as a middle distance athlete for two years prior to attending Northern Michigan University.
