Coker Women's Cross Country Jumps to No. 9 in Southeast Region Poll

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's cross country team is ranked No. 9 in the Southeast Region according to this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) poll released Tuesday (Sept. 29)

The Cobras return to the rankings after being ranked No. 10 in the Southeast Region back on Sept. 15.

The Navy and Gold recorded a win at the CIU Invitational and top 10 finishes at the Furman Invitational and Wingate Bulldog Invitational.

University of Montevallo claimed the top spot in the regional ranking, while fellow South Atlantic Conference schools; Wingate (2nd), Anderson (3rd), Queens (4th) were also ranked.

The Cobras will be back in action on Oct. 3 as they travel to Cary, N.C. for the Great American Cross Country Festival.
