Coker Women's Cross Country Ranked No. 10 in Southeast Region

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's cross country team is ranked No. 10 in the Southeast Region according to this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) poll released Tuesday (Sept. 15).

The Cobras have placed in the top 10 in both of their races so far this season, including winning the CIU Invitational on Sept. 5. Leading the way has been Hannah Weibel. The senior has been the top finisher for the Cobras in both races, earning a third place finish at the CIU Invitational and a 32nd place finish at the Furman Invitational.

The University of Montevallo took the top spot in the first regional ranking of the season, while fellow South Atlantic Conference schools; Queens (3rd), Wingate (4th), Anderson (5th), and Lincoln Memorial (7th), were also ranked. 

The Coker women will take a week off before hitting the trail once again on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Wingate Bulldog Invitational in Monroe, N.C.
