Cobras Clean Up in CIU Invitational

The Coker men's and women's cross country teams started off their 2015 campaigns in dominating fashion at the Columbia International Invitational, as the men locked up a second place finish and the women won their event.

Freshman Brandon Mullins started off his career in grand fashion posting a 17:29 time and a second place finish. Tom Sizeland followed with an 11th-place finish and a time of 18:29. Four men finished inside the top 30, and led the team to the overall second place finish.

In the women's race, senior Hannah Weibel made her return to the course in grand style, placing third with a time of 21:07. Junior Mercy Muhuhu was next across the line finishing in 12th place with a time of 22:53. All six women finished in the top 30 to lead Coker to the victory.

The Cobras will run again on Saturday, September 12 at the Furman Invitational in Greenville, S.C. The races are slated for a 9 a.m. start.
