Coker Cross Country to Compete in CIU Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Coker College men and women's cross country teams will travel to Columbia, S.C., to compete in the Columbia International University Invitational on Saturday, September 20.

In their last race, the women finished 10 of 18 and the men finished 7 of 17. Leading the way for the Cobras were Noah Cook and Shauntel Smullen. Cook finished the 8k event with a time of 28:13. Smullen completed the 5k event with a time of 20:05. Both freshman Cobra runners placed 19th individually in their respective races. Coach Benny Morgan will be looking to Cook and Smullen to continue their momentum to lead the team Saturday.
