Coker Cross Country to Compete in SAC Championship
The Coker men’s and women’s cross country teams will be competing in the 2013-14 Food Lion SAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday (Oct. 26).
BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. – The Coker men's and women's cross country teams will be competing in the 2013-14 Food Lion SAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday (Oct. 26).
Representing the Cobras in the meet will be Hannah Cook, Naomi Watson, Kirsten Sanders, Taylor Hall, Ashley Thompkins, Aneka Dixon, Dylan Bates, Tom Sizeland, Fabian Hardy, Britian Tomlinson, Tre' Williams, Patrick Tyler, and Sean Arnold.
Coker will be looking for Dylan Bates and Hannah Cook to set the pace for the men's and women's team. Both Bates and Cook have won every race for the Cobras so far this year.
Competition will consist of all 12 member institutions, including the defending champions in Lenoir-Rhyne for the women and Mars Hill for the men.
The women's 5K race will begin at 9 a.m., followed by the men's 8K at 10:00. Both races will take place at Montreat College's Black Mountain campus.
