HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker women's cross country runner Darroneshia Lott was named SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month for October 2017. This is Lott's second time earning the award as she was named Student-Athlete of the Month in September.

Lott paced the women's cross country team in the month of October. She ran for fourth at the Great American Cross Country Challenge Festival with a time of 17:58.6, a pace of 5:47. At the SAC Championships, Lott set a new Coker record with her second place finish of 17:52.88. She now owns the top five women's 5k times in Coker history.

She is a physical education major from Pensacola, Fla. and the daughter of Michele and Darron Lott.

Lott, and the rest of the Coker cross team will be competing in the NCAA Southeast Region Championships at Wingate, N.C. this Saturday (Nov. 4).
