Cobras Drop Hard Fought SAC Match to Lions

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker women's volleyball team hosted the Mars Hill Lions Friday (Nov. 3) night in South Atlantic Conference action. It was Senior Night for the Cobras. The teams battled hard, but the Navy and Gold fell short 3-2, (25-21, 12-25, 25-23, 16-25, 9-15).

The Cobras were led by Taylor du Bray's double-double with 21 kills and 16 digs. Christen Bragg had 41 assists and 17 digs for her double-double, tacking on four service aces. Missy Reid had 21 digs and totalled three aces, while Alexis Berles finished with seven kills, adding four solo blocks and assisted on two. Madison Bingle had a near double-double with nine kills and 18 digs and Kara Overholt was the leading digger with 25.

The Navy and Gold finished with 47 kills, 45 assists, 10 service aces, 102 digs, five solo blocks, and four block assists.

The Cobras stay home for their next match on Saturday (Nov. 4) afternoon against SAC foe Tusculum. The match is set to start at 2:00 p.m.
