Cobras Down the Bears in SAC Match

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker women's volleyball team hosted the Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne University Saturday (Oct. 7) and came away with the four set victory (25-18, 19-25, 27-25, 25-19).

The third set saw Madison Bingle surpass the 1,000 dig mark, making her only the sixth Cobra to do so. Bingle also finished with 10 kills and 20 digs. Missy Reid ended the night with nine digs, four assists, and one kill. Christen Bragg neared her season-high assist total, finishing with 49, and adding 12 to her dig total. Bragg served two aces as well. Bethany Prochnow had a career-high five solo blocks on the afternoon, along with her five kills. Alexis Berles hit .250 in the match, finishing with 10 kills, 10 digs, two solo blocks, and one assisted block. Taylor du Bray yet again garnered an impressive double-double with 16 kills and 26 digs, a career-high. Annie Mansfield killed 12 attacks and dug up six. Kara Overholt had 18 digs and assisted on four kills. The final three points for the Navy and Gold came from Olivia Veith, which sealed the conference victory.

The team finished with 59 kills, a season-high 101 digs, 58 assists, and 10 total blocks.

The Cobras continue their homestand on Thursday (Oct. 12) versus SAC foe Queens University of Charlotte Royals at 7:00 p.m.
