Cobras Take Down the Indians in Conference Match

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker women's volleyball began their five match homestand against the Indians of Catawba College on Tuesday (Oct. 3) in South Atlantic Conference action. The Cobras came out victorious, winning in four sets (25-19, 25-20, 16-25, 25-20).

Offensively, Taylor du Bray led the way with 16 kills. Madison Bingle followed behind with nine kills of her own, and had a 12 dig night. Kara Overholt had a team-high 18 digs. Christen Bragg assisted on 39 kills. Annie Mansfield and Chloe Attram also stood out on the offensive attack. Mansfield finished the night with seven kills and .304 hitting percentage, while Attram had three kills and a .500 hitting percentage. Defensively, Alexis Berles and Bingle each recorded two solo blocks. Bethany Prochnow added one solo block and assisted on two, while du Bray finished with two assisted blocks.

The team ended the match with 49 kills, 46 assists, 68 digs, and eight total blocks.

The Cobras stay home this weekend to battle the Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears in a conference matchup on Saturday (Oct. 7) at 2:00 p.m.
