Cobras Open Five Game Homestand with Catawba

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College women's volleyball team plays host to the Indians of Catawba College on Tuesday (Oct. 3) at 6:30 p.m in a South Atlantic Conference matchup.

The Cobras rank high in multiple categories throughout the SAC. Kara Overholt is fourth in the conference in digs and sixth in digs per set. Taylor du Bray comes off of a monster offensive performance against Tusculum in which she recorded 22 kills. She is tied 11th in kills per set, seventh in kills and digs, and 12th in digs per set. Madison Bingle ranks eighth in digs, tied for ninth in kills, and 16th in digs per set. Alexis Berles stands tied fifth in total blocks, tied 11th in solo blocks, tied eighth in block assists, 11th in hitting percentage, and 18th in kills. Christen Bragg holds third place in the conference in assists, fourth in assists per set, 14th in digs, 18th in assisted blocks, and 19th in digs per set. Both Bragg and Berles are tied ninth in service aces. Chloe Attram makes the list with her solo blocks numbers, ranking her second. Annie Mansfield and Bethany Prochnow are tied for 15th place in solo blocks as well.

Overall, the team ranks third in kills, assists, and solo blocks. They are ranked fifth in service aces. The Navy and Gold lead the conference in digs and come in second in digs per set. In their seven matches in conference play, the Cobras rank third in digs per set and fifth in digs and solo blocks.

The Indians were swept by both Queens and Wingate at home this past weekend. Allie Grubb leads the offensive attack with her 88 kills. Rachel Stanford leads the team with 267 assists. Morgan Hester has 14 service aces to her credit, while Stanford has 13. Jade Brooks follows with 12 aces. Allison Benton has dug 246 balls. Stanford is behind her with 152 digs. Grubb also heads the defense with two solo blocks and 34 block assists.
