Cobras Welcome Trojans and Wolves for Regular Season Finale

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's volleyball team will be back in the friendly confines of the DeLoach Center on Friday (Nov. 13) and Saturday (Nov. 14) for a pair of South Atlantic Conference matches against the visiting Anderson University Trojans and the Newberry College Wolves. First serve against the Trojans is set for 7 p.m. on Friday, while the match against Newberry will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Live stats and video is available at www.cokercobras.com

Madison Bingle leads the way for the Cobras with a team-high 237 kills. Megan Hardy and Alexis Berles have also recorded 154 and 129 kills so far this season. Defensively, the trio of Rachel Waters, Bingle and Christen Bragg lead the Navy and Gold with 200-plus digs. Bragg also has a team-high 607 assists and 84 kills. 

Anderson travels to Hartsville with a 10-16 overall and an 8-12 in conference record. They are led by the duo of Serena Jackson and Marissa Mitter. Jackson has 255 kills, while Mitter has 235.

The Wolves will take on Wingate on Friday night before making the trip to Hartsville for Saturday afternoon's match. They enter the weekend road trip with an 11-15 overall and a 7-13 in conference record. They are led by Logan Hayward and her team-high 276 kills.

Friday night's match will serve as senior night for the Coker women's volleyball team. The Cobras will honor lone senior Loren Hill before opening serve.

Friday night's match is set for a 7 p.m. start with the doors of the DeLoach Center opening at 6 p.m. First serve for Saturday's match is at 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1 p.m. Tickets are $15 dollars for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.
