Cobras Drop SAC Match to Carson-Newman

The Coker College women's volleyball team fell to the visiting Carson-Newman Univeristy Eagles on Saturday (Oct. 31) 3-1 in South Atlantic Conference action. 

The Cobras came out of the gates on fire winning the first set 28-26. However, the Eagles would rally to win the next three sets 25-11, 25-18 and 25-19. 

Madison Bingle led the way with 10 kills and nine digs. Megan Hardy and Shealynn Miller chipped in with seven and six kills. Defensively, Missy Reid, Christen Bragg and Kara Overholt all had double-digit digs. Bragg also had a team-high 24 assists. 

The Cobras will now go on a three-match road trip starting on Tuesday (Nov. 3) when they take on UNC Pembroke. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
