Cobras Fall in Four Sets to Lincoln Memorial

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's volleyball team dropped a South Atlantic Conference matchup to the visiting Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters 3-1 on Friday (Oct. 30).

LMU would win sets one and two by scores of 25-15 and 25-10. The Navy and Gold would storm back in set three, winning the set 27-25. The Railsplitters won the fourth and final set 25-18, to win match 3-1.

Madison Bingle led the charge with 10 kills and nine digs. Megan Hardy and Alexis Berles recorded seven kills, while Regan Kennen and Shealynn Miller had six kills each. Missy Reid and Kara Overholt led the way defensively with 19 and 17 digs. Setter Christen Bragg facilitated the offense with a team-high 35 assists.

The Cobras will cap off their five-game homestand tomorrow (Oct. 31) with a match against Carson-Newman University. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
