Cobras Drop Heartbreaker to Lenoir-Rhyne

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's volleyball team fell 3-2 to the visiting Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears on Saturday (Oct. 24) afternoon in South Atlantic Conference action.

The Cobras came out on fire, taking the first set by a score of 25-23. The Bears would crawl back into the match winning sets two and three by scores of 25-17 and 25-16. The Navy and Gold would even the match up 2-2 after winning set four 25-23. Lenoir-Rhyne would win the fifth and decisive set 15-9 to win the match 3-2.

Madison Bingle recorded another double-double with 15 kills and 15 digs. Christen Bragg finished the match with 41 assists and 18 digs. Megan Hardy registered 10 kills, while Rachel Waters and Kara Overholt had 21 and 12 digs.

The Cobras will be back in action on Tuesday night (Oct. 27) when they take on Wingate University at home. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
