Cobras Fall Short Against Newberry

NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Coker Cobras fell short in their South Atlantic Conference women's volleyball match against the Newberry Wolves on Saturday (Oct. 10), losing 3-1.

A trio of Cobras led the attack as Alexis Berles, Madison Bingle and Toni Hammer had nine kills each. Megan Hardy added seven kills and Christen Bragg chipped in five kills, with a season high 33 assists and 10 digs. On the defensive side of the ball, Missy Reid had a season and match high 20 digs, while Kara Overholt had 16 digs, Rachel Waters had 12 digs and Bingle had 10 digs.

The Cobras will return to the court on Saturday (Oct. 16) for a SAC road match at Mars Hill. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
