Coker Picks Up SAC Win Over Queens

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's volleyball team scored a 3-1 South Atlantic Conference win over the Queens University of Charlotte Royals on Friday (Oct. 2).

The Royals won set one 25-20. Coker would use an early 12-4 advantage to take set two 25-17. The third set would be the tightest of the four, with neither team taking more than a five-point lead. The Cobras would come up big late in the set, winning it 28-26. The Navy and Gold would ride the wave of momentum to take the fourth and decisive set 25-13.

Madison Bingle led the way with 10 kills and 12 digs. Alexis Berles registered nine kills. Toni Hammer picked up eight kills; while Missy Reid and Rachel Waters had 13 and 12 digs apiece. Christen Bragg dished out 36 assists in the win.

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Oct. 3) to take on the visiting Catawba College Indians at 2 p.m.
