Cobras Fall to Pioneers in SAC Action

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's volleyball team fell to the Tusculum College Pioneers on Saturday (Sept. 12) 3-0 in a South Atlantic Conference matchup.

The first set would see both teams exchanging points, with the Pioneers ahead 19-18 late in the set. Tusculum would use a late 6-1 run to close out the set with a 25-19 victory. Set two and three would be much of the same with neither team pulling away, however the Pioneers would take both sets by scores of 25-20 and 25-23.

Leading the way for the Cobras was sophomore Madison Bingle who registered a double-double with 12 digs and 11 kills. Megan Hardy recorded seven kills, while Christen Bragg and Kara Overholt dished out 21 and 17 assists.

The Cobras will not be in action until next Friday (Sept. 18) as they travel to Brevard to take on the Tornados in a SAC showdown.
