Cobras Sweep Falcons for Non-Conference Win

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Coker women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 sweep of Pfeiffer University in non-conference action on Wednesday (Oct. 29) night.

The Cobras controlled the tempo from the start; winning sets one and two 25-18 and 25-16, respectively. The Falcons would attempt a late push in set three, but Coker would hold on for a 25-23 set victory and 3-0 match win.

Leading the Navy and Yellow was the trio of Madison Bingle, Celia Duggan and Megan Hardy, with eight kills apiece. Hardy added seven digs and three service aces to her totals, while Bingle registered five digs and two service aces of her own. Rachel Waters led the defense with 13 digs and Christen Bragg tallied a double-double for the Cobras with 30 assists and 10 digs.

The Cobras will be back in action on Friday (Oct. 31) when they host Senior Night against the Eagles of Carson-Newman. First serve of the South Atlantic Conference match is slated for 7 p.m.
