Cobras Fall to Trojans and Jaguars in Tri-Match

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Coker women's volleyball team traveled to Anderson (S.C.) University for a conference matchup with the Trojans and a non-conference tilt with the GRU Augusta Jaguars on Saturday (Sept. 27). The Cobras dropped match one, 3-0, to Anderson and match two, 3-1, to the Jaguars.

Libby Merrifield led the way for Coker in match one, finishing with 10 kills. Christen Bragg paced the offense with 22 assists, while Samantha Celek led the defense with seven digs.

In match two, Shealynn Miller led the offense with seven kills and four blocks, while Merrifield added seven kills of her own. Bragg dished out 25 assists and Celek dug 13 balls to lead the defense.

The Navy and Yellow will be back in action Friday (Oct. 3) when they travel to Carson-Newman for a 7 p.m. SAC match with the Eagles.
