Cobras Fall to Bears in SAC Match

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's volleyball team dropped its South Atlantic Conference match, 3-0, to the Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne University on Friday (Sept. 19) night.

Offensive and defensive miscues would plague the Navy and Yellow, as they committed a combined 20 errors over the three sets. Lenoir-Rhyne would capitalize; winning the match with set scores of 25-11, 25-14 and 25-12, respectively.

Loren Hill led the Cobra offense with 10 kills and five digs. Samantha Celek dug a match-high 14 digs, while Christen Bragg tallied 18 digs and nine digs.

The Cobras will be back in action tomorrow (Sept. 20) as they host the Brevard College Tornados at 12 p.m. and then head to UNC Pembroke for a 6 p.m. matchup with the Braves.
