HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College women's volleyball coach Allison Stack announced today the signings of Angelique Goswick, Rachel Waters, Shealynn Miller, Libby Merrifield, Megan Hardy and Brook Closset. All six will be joining the Cobras beginning in the fall of 2014.
Goswick is a libero from Stockton, Ill., where she attends Stockton High School. A four-year letterwinner in volleyball, Goswick has won two conference championships and a region championship. Goswick also lettered in softball and track.
Angelique is the daughter of Tony Goswick and Jessica and Tim Curran.
Waters, a libero, is from Columbia, S.C. She is a three-sport athlete in volleyball, track and cross country at Irmo High School. During her time as a Yellow Jacket, Waters was named all-region, team MVP and team captain.
Rachel is the daughter of Chris Waters.
Miller is a middle hitter from Campton Hill, Ill., where she is a four-year letterwinner in volleyball at St. Charles North High School.
Shealynn is the daughter of Robert and Janet Miller.
Merrifield is a right side hitter from Yorktown, Va., where she attends Tabb High School. A three-year letterwinner for the Tigers, Merrifield was a team captain, team MVP, first-team all-conference selection and second-team all-region selection.
Libby is the daughter of David and Holly Merrifield.
Hardy, a right side hitter, is from Lancaster, N.Y. As a Redskin at Lancaster High School, Hardy was named an all-conference selection twice in volleyball.
Megan is the daughter of William and Ellen Hardy.
Closset is an outside hitter from Winfield, Ill., where she is a four-year letterwinner in volleyball at Wheaton Warrenville South High School.
Brooke is the daughter of Bill and Yvette Closset.
These six young ladies, along with the six signed during the early period, give Coach Stack 12 new faces that will join the Cobra women in the fall.
