Cobras Drop Four Set Match to Mars Hill

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Taylor Willis and Cassandra Nagel each earned double-doubles in the Cobra women's volleyball team's 3-1 loss to the Mars Hill Lions on Friday (Nov. 15) evening.

After falling behind 2-0 with scores of 25-12 and 25-17, the Cobras stormed back and won the third set 25-19. The Lions then won the fourth set 25-17.

Willis led the way for the Cobras with 15 kills and 14 digs, while Nagel had 10 kills and 11 digs. Kelly Stine also earned double digit kills, knocking down 11 with four digs and Celia Duggan had seven kills. Mindy Morris added 13 digs and Samantha Celek handed out 43 assists.

The Cobras will be back in action for their final two matches of the season on Saturday (Nov. 16) at noon and 6 p.m. Coker will take on Tusculum at noon, followed by a match against UNC Pembroke at 6 p.m.
