Kaylah Ruff Wins SAC AstroTurf Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker College women's track and field student-athlete Kaylah Ruff has won the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award, the league announced Tuesday (Feb. 19). This is Ruff's first athlete of the week award this season.

Ruff, a senior exercise science major from Conover, N.C. broke her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles, not just once, but twice. She first broke her Coker record of 9.00 in the prelims, by posting a time of 8.77. That record didn't last very long, as she set the new standard with a blazing time of 8.67 in the finals. She is now tied for 15th in the nation with her NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time of 8.67.

Ruff is the daughter of Vickie and Tommy Ruff, and the sister of Quin.
