Lauren Mustapher and Mikayla Cline Shine at JDL College Meet Madness

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Coker College women's track and field team had another impressive outing on Sunday (Jan. 27), littering the school record books with new times at the JDL College Meet Madness.

Lauren Mustapher got the day started with a second place finish in the 60-meter, posting a blazing time of 7.83 seconds. Angel Gale wasn't far behind, securing eighth place with a time of 8.07.

Trinity White kept the momentum going for the Cobras with an eighth-place finish in the 200-meter with a time of 26.87.

Kaylah Ruff had yet another banner day in the 60-meter hurdles, notching the second-fastest time in Coker history at 9.00 seconds. She now owns the top three 60-meter hurdles times in Coker history.

Mikayla Cline rounded out the day with terrific showings in both the shot put and the weight throw. Cline posted the third-best distances in school history in both events with distances of 32'9 ½ in the shot put, and 33'5 ¾ in the weight throw.

The Cobras will be back in action later this week when they travel to Columbia for the Carolina Challenge on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
