Cobras Surge to Sixth Place on Day Two of SAC Championships

HICKORY, N.C. – The Coker College women's track and field team finished in sixth place at the South Atlantic Conference Track and Field Championship.

After finishing day one in seventh, the Cobras rallied to move up the team leaderboard into the sixth position.

Charity Snelling came in sixth in the triple jump, recording a distance of 10.75 meters.

In the 1500-meter run, Breanna Sullivan came in eighth, running a time of 5:36.88 in the finals.

In the 100-meter hurdles, Kaylah Ruff came in fifth place, registering a time of 14.82.

Noelia Leake came in fourth in the 100-meter dash, clocking a time of 12.52 in the finals.

Briana Nixon was the runner-up in the 400-meter dash, while Lisa Foster came in sixth. Nixon notched a time of 57.34 and Foster ran a time of 1:00.02.

Snelling also finished in the runner-up spot in the 400-meter hurdles, running a time of 1:03.86 in the finals.

Nixon's time of 26.64 in the 200-meter finals landed her a sixth place showing in the event.

The team of Nixon, Leake, Jalecia Williamson and Da'Sha Jobes finished third in the 4x 100-meter relay, recording a time of 48.72.

The Navy and Gold also placed third in the 4x 400-meter relay, running a time of 3:58.18 in the finals. This time it was the team of Snelling, Foster, Williamson and Nixon.

In all, the Cobra scored 58 team points to secure the sixth place showing.
