HICKORY, N.C. – The Coker women's track & field team took part in the final day of competition at the 2015 South Atlantic Conference Track & Field Championship on Saturday (Apr. 18). The Cobras finished eighth overall with 26 points.
Noella Leake placed third in the 100 meter dash, while Shauntel Smullen finished fourth in the 800 meter run to lead the Cobras.
Lisa Foster finished sixth in the 400 meter dash, Talicia Murphy finished eighth in the triple jump and Mercy Muhuhu picked up a 13th-place finish in the 5,000 meter run.
As a team, the Cobras took third and fourth in the 4x100 meter and 4x400 meter relays, respectively.
The Cobras' next event will be the Carolina Cup starting on Apr. 23 in Rock Hill, S.C.
