Coker Women's Track & Field Places in Four Events at UNC Open

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Coker women's track and field team opened its inaugural season on Saturday (Jan. 17) at the UNC Open.

The Cobras competed in six events, placing in four. Noelia Leake placed 25th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.69, while Da'Sha Jobes placed 28th with a time of 28.25.  Jobes also placed 17th in the long jump with a distance of 4.85 meters. Talicia Murphy placed 23rd in the long jump with a distance of 4.67 meters.

Murphy placed 11th in the triple jump, the Cobras' highest finish of the day, with a distance of 10.02 meters. Rounding out the Coker placers where Tamara McMichael and Alexis Berles in the shot put. McMichael placed 21st after throwing 7.84 meters and Berles was 23rd with a distance of 7.63 meters.

The Cobras will return to action on Friday (Jan. 30) when they travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. for the Hilton Garden Invitational.
