Coker's Palmer Twins Earn All-SAC Honors

 

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College women's tennis team members Bailey Palmer and Ragan Palmer were named to the South Atlantic Conference all-conference teams, the league office announced today. The twins were earned second team All-SAC honors as a doubles tandem, while Bailey notched a second team All-SAC selection for her singles play as well.

The Palmer's went 11-10 on the season at No. 2 doubles in the Cobra lineup, including an 8-3 record against SAC opponents. The duo won seven of its final 10 matches to conclude the regular season.

Bailey went 12-7 at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles flights for the Navy and Yellow, which included a 7-4 conference record. Her season was highlighted by a six-match winning streak that took place between the months of February and March and a four-match winning streak to close out the regular season.

Ragan is a communication major, while Bailey is an education major with a concentration in elementary education. The Port Orange, Fla. natives are the daughters of Jacqueline and Todd Palmer.
